The Czech manufacturer has developed an online-based digital assistant, which they have named Laura. To activate the assistant, users need to say ‘Okay Laura’ followed by one of many commands.

New Kamiq and Scala models equipped with Skoda’s Amundsen infotainment system will get the voice control system as standard. The technology can understand natural speech, helping it understand a variety of questions or commands. If music is playing, the car will lower the volume but keep the media playing to improve seamless interaction with the assistant.

The system can also understand different dialects and six different languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Czech.

An on-board eSIM card allows seamless connection between offline and online data, making a wide scope of information available to the driver.
