The NEW Audi RS Q3 Models

Audi have revealed the RS line-up for their refreshed Q3 range, which will include the new Sportback edition.

Audi’s performance version of their popular Q3 will come in two body styles: an SUV, called the RS Q3, and a coupé, called the RS Q3 Sportback. Both feature aggressive exterior styling including large air intakes and a unique honeycomb design for the grill. The wheel arches have been flared by 10mm for added width, and the Q3 now gets Audi’s iconic oval twin exhaust pipes.

The RS Q3 Sportback sits lower than its SUV counterpart and features a shoulder line that is set back further, helping to lower the body’s centre of gravity. The low rear window and sloping D-pillars accentuate the coupé’s sporty stance.

Eight paint colours are available on the new RS Q3 models, two of which are exclusive: Kyalami Green and Nardo Grey. Aluminium-look or gloss black styling packs determine the colour of the window trims, rear diffuser and side sill inserts – the gloss black pack will also finish the RS logos in black.

Sitting afront is Audi’s award-winning five-cylinder engine producing 400PS and 480NM of torque. The 2.5 Litre turbo-charged unit propels the RS Q3’s from 0-62mpg in just 4.5 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 155mph, but this can be increased to 174mph as an option. As always, Audi’s S Tronic transmission will be present as standard, along with permanent all-wheel drive system Quattro.

There are many driving modes to choose from, including two new ones: RS1 and RS2. These modes can be accessed from the steering wheel and ramp up the car’s responsiveness, steering, suspension and sound.

The interior resembles the standard Q3 but adds RS badging to places such as the door sills and the flat-bottomed sports leather steering wheel. As standard, all RS Q3s include Audi’s virtual cockpit plus, which comes with RS-specific styling and information screens.
